Congratulations to our newest Chief of Police, Dan Meyer!

Congratulations to Chief Meyer

Dan graduated Summa Cum Laude from UW-Platteville in 2009 with a B.S. in Criminal Justice, minoring in Psychology and Spanish. He is also a graduate of the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Academy.  Most recently, Dan earned his M.S. in 2019 from the University of Nebraska-Omaha in Public Administration with a Criminology and Criminal Justice Specialization. Dan served the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve for eight years and was honorably discharged in 2020. 
Dan has been with the Whitewater Police Department since January 2010 as a Patrol Officer, followed by Detective, Detective Sergeant, Detective Lieutenant, Captain and Deputy Chief. Dan has been serving Whitewater as Interim Chief of Police since December 2021. 
The City of Whitewater is honored and excited to have Dan as our newest Chief of Police. We know you will do a fantastic job continuing to keep our community safe. Congratulations Chief Meyer.
