Visit the Whitewater Arts Alliance & Cultural Arts Center during the month of April as they celebrate Latino art and artists! The exhibit is open Thursdays through Sundays from 12 pm to 5 pm, April 6th to April 30th.
The show will feature select prints from Oaxaca, Mexico along with art by Wisconsin artist Leticia Castillo, by local painter Enrique Esquipula, and by several other area artists.
Saturday, April 22nd from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm, don’t miss music by Lincoln Elementary School’s new Mariachi Band, “Mariachi Madness,” and the Mariachi Latino group from Harvard, IL who is often seen in Whitewater parades.
Sunday, April 30th, local artists and Oaxaca, Mexico artists are planning to be on-hand to greet visitors at a closing reception from 1 pm to 3 pm, where snacks will be served.
All of the events are free and open to the public. The Cultural Arts Center is located on 402 West Main Street in the historic White building near the Birge Fountain. Parking is behind the building. An elevator is available for access from the parking lot entrance.
